Do you love jazz music? Well, you’re in luck. The Roswell Jazz Festival is back for 2017, and people are already excited. There are tons of artists to check out, so make sure you plan enough time in your schedule to see them all. The event starts on Wednesday, Oct. 18, and doesn’t end until Sunday, Oct. 22, so you will have plenty of time to check out all the artists that you really want to see. Wednesday, October 18
This is the first day of the festival, so you know it’s going to be a big deal. Come out to the Liberty for the kick-off. This show will begin at 7:30 p.m., but feel free to come earlier to mingle and check out the crowd. You might even see another musician. The New Breed Brass Band is playing, and tickets are only $15. This performance is going to be a real treat and not something you will want to miss.

Friday, October 20
There’s a lot to do on Friday: Go back to Reischman Park for some free events, or head to Peppers Grill and Bar for a bit of a different atmosphere. Pecos Flavors Winery will again be hosting festival events, as will the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. Even if you can’t make it to all of these locations, you should at least check out one or two.
Saturday, October 21
The events will continue at Reischman Park and the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. You can also go experience different activities at RJF School of Jazz and the Bassett Auditorium at the Roswell Museum and Arts Center. No matter what you choose, you‘re sure to find a sampling of beautiful music and great company.
Sunday, October 22
Sunday is the last day of the event, so you should definitely try to make it to something on this day. Consider going to the First United Methodist Church Worship in Jazz service. Or, you can go to the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art again to see a different performance there. Either way, you are sure to enjoy the music.
